So, my life is finally starting to look up. Of course, as soon as I say this, it'll probably fuck itself over again, but what the hell.
I've really got going on my novel - around 6000 words, three chapters in with the first seven already fully planned.
The archery club Christmas party was held last Saturday, which included presentations at the end. I won the Junior League (Falcons), my division of the Club Championships, and almost all the competitions in my division on the day. Prizes included $180 cash plus two trophies for the Falcons, and a trophy for the Championships.

If I act a little werid/prickly/quick-tempered in the weeks/months/years to come, you can probably safely assume it's because of the last few weeks.
My dad's been diagnosed with incurable liver cancer.
The best father in the world. The amazing cook. The sportsman. The one who takes me everywhere and does everything for me. The one who keeps a logical, reasonable head on their shoulders whenever Mum and I are arguing. The one who has been behind me every step of the way, supporting me. Yeah, that one.
